Useful Sites

I often use Google for, well, everything. I find several other sites helpful too. Like Swagbucks and Yahoo. They all help me in some way. But if I need country song lyrics or the meaning of the word I go straight to these two sites.

Dictionary.com- VERY helpful! I often find words that I don't know the meaning of, so I just click on Dictionary and type it in! Saves me a lot of trouble typing the meaning of the word on google.

CowboyLyrics.com- I use this site to look up country song lyrics. Very helpful, especially if I hear a song that I love and want to read the words to it. Especially if it's a fast song and you miss some of what's being sung.

Have a great day!

Runaway Bride

I love any kind of movie! You got a movie about this girl planning her wedding? I'll watch it. A movie about a professional boxer winning the title, I'll watch it. Heartwarming story about a girl and her horse? Gimme that movie! Tearjerker movie about a cancer patient, I'll try not to cry and watch it. A thrilling, bone-shaking scary movie, TURN OUT THE LIGHTS! Classic old western movie about a bank robber gang? I love John Wayne! An animation about a toy astronaut? Tim Allen is hilarious! A clean cut film about a family on a prairie? Do not interrupt my movie! Aliens taking over the world and fighting dragons? Yeah, I'm up for it! A weird science movie about something in the air killing people...allrighty, I'll try not to ask questions about what doesn't make sense. Treasure hunt anyone? Yup, I'll bring the cookies! So you get the picture, right? Good! Hope you got my drift. Let me get to the point of this blog.

The other day I watched Runaway Bride. I simply adore the movie! My favorite adoration is that it was CLEAN! No sensuality whatsoever! I thoroughly enjoyed that! The best part about the movie? You guessed it, Julia Roberts! No matter what she stars in, she shines! Maybe because she's so natural! I mean, she never looks like she has a face lift, botox or whatever. And her natural red hair? A knockout! What I mostly love about her though, is her personality. She can be that sweet girl with the flowing dress and tons of makeup one minute, the trade it in for overalls and a ponytail. Plus, she's got that signature smile! Best smile of the year award? Please, this lady deserves best smile of the century award!

Anyways. Runaway Bride was a fantastic movie! Julia Roberts outshines her character! Richard Gere was postoperatively wonderful at his role! They were a perfect match! This movie is about Julia's character who has ran from the alter 4 times. And now she's getting hitched again! Will she run? That's the question on everyone's mind, especially Richard Gere's character. He runs a story about her in the paper, which she replies to stating he told false things about her. Richard Gere gets fired and redeems himself by writing the true story about Julia's character.

THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS!

Yes, Julia does run from the alter again. But at the end...all's well that ends well.

Not much of a spoiler, eh? Anyways, I give this movie 10 stars! It would have been 9 stars, but I made it 10 because they put in a country song towards the end of the movie. Sure know how to steal my heart! ha ha.

So, if you have not seen this movie...."Get off your lazy bum and watch it!".

Speak Now - Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift is America's Country and Pop sensation! She has topped the charts, sold the most albums AND won numerous awards for her amazing talent! Anyways, her newest album was released this past Monday. I wanted it so bad! I went to two Wal-Mart and they did not have the vinyl copy, which is the one I wanted. So I'm having to wait and order it online. The only song I've heard from the CD is her #1 hit "Mine". I absolutely love the music video!

"I remember we were sitting by the water, When you looked at me it was like the first time, You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter. You are the best thing that's ever been mine."

Here's the music video! Enjoy!

Note: The video will probably direct you to Youtube.

Our Trip to Wal-Mart

Today me and Dad went to Wal-mart and bought just food, food only at $120! Say what?! The only thing non-grocery was brown mailing paper, tissue paper and scotch tape. But those we had to have due to selling items on eBay.

Now, I have NO idea why milk is like over $3 a gallon! Grape Juice by Welch's is almost $4!! Hamburger meat was $5, Mt. Dew 6-pack was $3 as was Sprite. Pizza was $3, Pizza Rolls were also $3. Seriously, why is cinnamon rolls by Pillsbury cheaper than layered biscuits by the same brand?

Oh, and the most exciting part about the grocery shopping was NO SNACKS! Woo-hoo! Okay, so I bought one thing of Jello that is fat free, whatevah. But I was super glad to see some Granny Smith apples! Mhmmm! I would love to make some applesauce!

And the weirdest part of the afternoon? We checked out and I went to the other end of the store to get me a bottle of juice. While waiting in the checkout line, there's this lady talking to the cashier. No grocery on the line, so I figured, this will be quick. Ha! The lady was trying to get her price lower. First, she asked to cashier if they could hold this pajamma set for her little boy(who was in the buggy). The cashier told her they could not. So, the lady took the clothes off the bill and shook her head at the price. She handed the cashier some cash and pulled her wallet out. Now, I am behind her, holding my drink and two dollars. She looks at me and the money. I realize that she needs two dollars to pay her bill. I wanted to be nice, but instead I pushed the money in my pocket. The lady then dumps her wallet contents on the "whatchamacallit" and counts out two dollars in change. Literally I saw 50 pennies! Sheesh!

Oh, and while she's doing all this, her little boy is like out of control. He's standing up in the buggy and appears to be around 3 years old. He's jumping around in the buggy, pushing it back and forth so forcibly that I literally am backed up next to this old man. The little boy even proceeds to try to get onto this "whatchamacallit"(the thingy that carries the grocery to the cashier). I was like,"Ohmyword!".

There's my eventful day!

Football Season

Ah, there's nothing like the beginning of fall. The leaves change colors, the weather is breezier, Halloween coming up and....Football Season!!! I absolutely love football!! Any game that's on, I'm watching! And yes, I do have favorites! Who doesn't?

High School Team - West Point Green Wave and Louisville.

Collage Team - Ole Miss Rebels and Florida Gators.

Pro Team - New York Giants, Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings.

Although the only reason I am cheering for Minnesota is cause of Brett Favre. As for the other 3 teams, my favorites!! Oh, and I always cheer for Detroit Lions. I feel sorry for Detroit, can't help it. Can you imagine having a 22 losing streak?! *Shudders*

The reason I cheer for New York Giants is cause I followed Eli Manning, whom played for my Rebels! And naturally I followed his brother also years before when he went to Indy. And New Orleans, well, Daddy is a fan and I decided to also be a fan. Gotta love Drew Brees!

As for Ole Miss Rebels....HELLO?! They are absolutely the best collage team, in my opinion! I've always been a fan, ever since the late '90s. I cheered for Florida when Tim Tebow was playing and I imagine I will cheer for the pro team he's playing for now.

And finally, for West Point Green Waves. Um, DUH! I live here! So naturally I cheer for home team! Although people wonder why I don't cheer for the collage team Mississippi State. Well, frankly, I despise the bulldogs. Always have, always will.

So, yes, it's that TIME of the YEAR! Bring out the frozen pizza, popcorn and football games!
GOOO TEAM!

Spying and Me

Okay, so I don't spy on people. No, I don't! I don't! So, maybe I do, like just a teeny bit. Fine, I spy! But so do you..go on, admit it! Make my day! Everyone spies on everyone. Seriously, think about it, if they're not spying, then what do they call it glancing over a newspaper at other people's business...?? Ding, ding! We have a winner! If that's not one of the examples of spying, then I don't know what is! Course, I have several other great examples, but I ain't listing them tonight!

I'll get down to the nitty gritty. I don't normally spy on people. I don't know why I do it. It's like, I guess you could call it the Nancy Drew in me. Although, none of my friends probably know this about me. Mostly because I am super shy and even when we're in a group I just tag along. My parents have no idea about this either. But, can't blame them on that. I'm so envolved in my Facebook, Farmville, Frontierville, eBay, Xanga, Blogger, Judge shows and re-runs that there's not much I don't see. And they're probably right. After all, how could anyone know this about me? I'm usually so quiet, although my notebooks and flash drives speak otherwise.

Well, I need to sign off this for now.

PS- Sheesh, now I sound like Harriet the spy.. *rolls eyes*
